Secure AI Business Case & Process Design
We take one priority opportunity and turn it into a business case, a redesigned process and a high-level solution design. We put a value on the change and show what would have to be true for it to work. Your customer then has the evidence to decide. The engagement costs from £15,000 for Ingram Micro partners, and takes about thirty days.
Your customer stays yours.
You bring the customer relationship, and TechGrowth brings the commercial consulting capability. You lead the engagement and attend the workshops.
TechGrowth does not compete with you for the technical implementation that follows. If the customer decides to proceed, you remain the technology partner and lead the implementation opportunity that follows.
Commercial capability
TechGrowth runs the commercial work alongside you, with your customer.
Implementation
If the customer proceeds, your team takes the high-level solution design into detailed technical design, scope and quotation.
Managed services
Where the customer proposition supports a recurring service, you retain that commercial opportunity.
You keep the customer relationship, and TechGrowth does not bid against you for the technical work. We agree contracting, invoicing and channel terms before any engagement starts.
You bring in the commercial capability for one engagement. If the customer proceeds, the technical implementation opportunity stays with you.
Being brought in after the business decision has already been made.
MSP owners say these two things to us. This engagement puts you in the room while the business case and future requirement are being shaped.
We only hear about it when they ask us to quote.
We built exactly what they asked for, but there was no next conversation.
The earlier you join the business conversation, the more chance you have to help shape the requirement. If the requirement is set before you arrive, you may be left competing mainly on technical scope and price. The business value of your work rarely comes into that conversation.
The engagement runs in six stages, over about thirty days.
The six stages follow the Value Case Builder. That is the P4 method inside the 5P System.
- 1 Baseline. We work out how the process runs today, and what it costs the customer. We use their own data and systems, and what we watch happening. Where we assume something, we write it down and show our working.
- 2 Opportunity. We agree which steps could be improved. We also agree which steps need human judgement, and should stay as they are.
- 3 Value. We work out what the change is worth, in the customer’s own numbers. We then reduce that figure. It allows for slow adoption, and for saved time that never turns into money.
- 4 Change. We set out what has to change in the work. The customer’s own people build that with us, in workshops.
- 5 Risk. We write down what has to be true for the change to work. We also write down what could stop it.
- 6 Decision. We bring the evidence together so the customer can decide whether the case is strong enough to act on. The answer is sometimes no, and the business case says so plainly.
The customer receives five outputs.
It shows how the work runs after the change. The customer’s own people help build it. It also names the decisions that stay with a person.
It sets out who does what after the change. It also names the supporting systems, and who is accountable for each part.
The case uses the customer’s own numbers, reduced to allow for slow adoption. It is honest about what could go wrong.
It names the capabilities needed and how they connect. It gives your technical team a clear starting point for detailed technical design.
It records what would need to be proved before implementation. Some opportunities need no technical proof at all.
The engagement ends with a design, and the build stays with you.
- One defined business process and one business case
- Interviews, evidence gathering and workshops with the customer’s own people
- The five outputs above
- Scope is confirmed before work begins
- Detailed technical design or architecture, configuration or integration
- Any build, licence or deployment
- Running the change, or the managed service afterwards
- Any promise that the board approves the case
Completion point. The engagement ends when the business case is delivered and the customer has decided.
How your customer reaches this step.
The customer only buys the next step if the last one was worth it. Nothing rolls on by default.
You keep the customer relationship at every step. If the customer proceeds, you lead the technical opportunity that follows. The £2,500 workshop price and the Design price shown here are for Ingram Micro Microsoft partners.
Some customers have not yet agreed their priority. Start those customers with the Secure AI Business Envisioning Workshop. No customer is pushed into this step.
Book a Secure AI Opportunity Call.
The call takes twenty minutes, and we look at the customer situation together. Most engagements at this level follow an Envisioning Workshop. We will check whether that should come first.
Twenty minutes, at a time that suits you.
The call happens on video. Bring what you already know about the customer, and prepare nothing.
- Twenty minutes. We look at whether the opportunity is real. The call is about the business opportunity, not technical design.
- We look at four things. The business problem, who sponsors it, what it might be worth, and what should happen next.
- The opportunity may be too early. If it is, we will say so, and tell you what to go and find out.
- No payment on the call. If the customer is a fit, we agree the next commercial step afterwards.
