Customer Ascension Ladder · step 2 of 4

Secure AI Business Envisioning Workshop

The workshop takes one day, on site, with your customer’s leadership team. It establishes where Secure AI could improve their business, and which opportunity comes first. It also decides whether they should proceed at all. The workshop costs £2,500 for Ingram Micro partners.

Where this leads

The Envisioning Workshop is the second step of four.

Your customer starts with the Secure AI Opportunity Assessment, which costs nothing. They only buy the next step when the last one was worth it.

You lead the build and the recurring service.

The technical implementation and the managed service revenue

The customer only buys the next step if the last one was worth it. Nothing rolls on by default.

You keep the customer relationship at every step. You also lead the technical work at the end of it. Both prices above are for Ingram Micro partners.

Your position

Your customer stays yours.

You bring the customer relationship, and TechGrowth brings the commercial consulting capability. You lead the engagement and attend every session.

TechGrowth does not compete with you for the technical implementation. You remain the technology partner and lead the implementation opportunity that follows.

Contracting, invoicing and channel terms are agreed before any engagement starts.

The problem

Being brought in after the business decision has already been made.

MSP owners say these two things to us. The Envisioning Workshop exists to put you at the start of the opportunity, not the end.

Before the decision
We only hear about it when they ask us to quote.
After the build
We built exactly what they asked for, but there was no next conversation.

Whoever leads the commercial conversation writes the requirement everyone else quotes against. If the requirement is written without you, you compete inside somebody else’s decision. You then compete on scope and price. The business value of your work rarely comes into it.

The customer’s problem

Most AI conversations start with the wrong question.

Customers usually ask “Where can we use AI?” That question has no natural end. It usually produces a pilot that nobody can measure afterwards.

The better question is “Where does the business need to improve?” You then look at the five measures a board already watches.

Revenue

Are we selling more?

Margin

Does the work cost less?

Capacity

Have we freed people up?

Speed

Is the process faster?

Risk

Have we reduced exposure?

The alternatives

What customers do instead.

These are the three routes most businesses take.

Run an internal AI workshop

An internal workshop produces a long list of ideas. It rarely puts those ideas in order, or a number against any of them.

Buy a proof of concept

A proof of concept shows the technology works. It does not show that the change is worth paying for.

Wait and see

Waiting is a fair choice. The board will still ask what the AI spend achieved.

What the customer receives

Four outputs, in writing.

Secure AI Business Envisioning Workshop: a one-day workshop that brings the right people together, prioritises opportunities, uses the customer's own numbers, agrees next steps and creates a path to implementation. Three sector examples are shown, in manufacturing, business services and transport.

An agreed view of the business

The leadership team agrees how the business makes money, and what matters most right now.

A list of priorities

The list shows where Secure AI could improve the business. It is ordered by what is worth doing first.

A shortlist of AI opportunities

The shortlist records what is worth pursuing, and what has been ruled out.

A written decision

The customer decides to proceed, to wait, or not to invest. Sometimes the honest answer is the last one.

The workshop may conclude that the customer should not proceed. That is a valid outcome. We sell commercial judgement, and we do not sell a case for buying technology.

Where it stops

The workshop is one day, at a fixed price.

In scope

  • One day on site with the leadership team
  • The four written outputs above
  • A clear recommendation on whether to proceed
Out of scope

  • Redesigning the process, which is the Secure AI Business Case & Process Design
  • A measured business case
  • Any technical work, or proof that the technology runs
  • Any commitment beyond the day itself

Completion point. The day ends when the decision is delivered in writing. Nothing continues unless the customer buys the next step.

Cumulus launch members

Your first workshop may already be paid for.

Members who sign up for the first Practice cohort get one Envisioning Workshop at no charge. Members who sign up for the first Executive cohort get three.

TechGrowth’s specialists run the engagement alongside you. You keep the customer relationship. If the customer goes ahead, you are still the partner who does the technical work.

You must book these workshops with a qualifying customer by 31 December 2026. The workshop itself can happen later.

The next step

Book a Secure AI Opportunity Call.

The call takes twenty minutes, and we look at one customer opportunity together. We then work out whether an Envisioning Workshop is the right next step. It may also be too early for that customer.

Twenty minutes, at a time that suits you.

The call happens on video. Bring what you already know about the customer, and prepare nothing.

  • Twenty minutes. We look at whether the opportunity is real, and we do not discuss the technology.
  • We look at four things. The business problem, who sponsors it, what it might be worth, and what should happen next.
  • The opportunity may be too early. If it is, we will say so, and tell you what to go and find out.
  • No payment on the call. If the customer is a fit, we agree the next commercial step afterwards.

The customer only buys the next step if the last one was worth it.

No step happens automatically. The customer decides at every step, and you are in the room throughout.
